Maybe you should try to post on DELL forum or on aximsite forum about this issue... I guess that somebody already had the same problem...
I would like to help you but I did not use my axim since like 6 month because i was not able to boot linux from SD card with Haret and precompiled packages.
I used the http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/x50vHowTo procedure and Haret was only bugging and linux was not loaded.
Could you please post the exact procedure... Maybe I could contribute to the linux port and help you better if I have a clear procedure to boot linux.

HelloI flashed my x50v accidently with a worng rom and it cant start now,im searching for the jtag pins of the x50v, or any other way to solve this problem.flashing from sd card worked for me but now no more because the boot loader is deadthancks for your help__________________________________________________
