I should have included this link as the source of the software I'm trying out, but yes, this is the version that I'm running. > its a little bit older, but if i find some time i´ll also build a new > image for this device. > > but a 100% working touchscreen would be nicer... Well, from the little bit I could see, the X51 touch-screen did react to stylus input, at least insofar dragging a pointer and tapping for a click is concerned. I'm not sure about any other possible action that might be possible (maybe a sustained tap to simulate a right-click like in CE), I could not test for that. > currently the touchscreen isnt really usable.. Oh dear! :-) > and i think i am the only one who works for the aximx50... :-( Double-whammy, what a pity. In any case, I have this device laying about doing nothing, and I'm willing to help out where I can. I'm not a programmer as such, although I've been a Linux sysadmin for about 10 odd years. This would be a nice project to help out on, even if it forces me a bit away from my sysadmin(ish) Perl towards a bit more C. Anyways, I would like to help out. I suppose the first place to start would be to get to grips with getting a cross-compiling setup going. I'll trawl the WIKI and other places for tips on this, unless you might have a few pointers that could save time? > Jan Henkins wrote: >> Hello, >> >> I've installed the latest version of the X50 software on an Axim X51 >> (not >> the X51V), and can launch it nicely with haret.
