Ralf,

I rather not have the "framed" and "srcltx" packages switched off, if
there present is natural for the dvi environment.  I think tex4ht
should be configured to support those packages if they are integral
part of the code.  It is not an option for tex4ht to switch them off
as it kicks in after all the *sty files are loaded.

The .log file might give a hint on how makeindex is to be invoked.  If
that is not the case, tex4ht will need to be configured to an
apparently a new definition of the index.

I'll get back to you before the end of December.  I'm currently
overloaded with commitments and deadlines and can't currently deal
with the axiom and aldor stuff.
