That makes perfect sense to me.  Ralf can sync from build-improvements
at any time.

Given recent discussions, I would very much appreciate Tim shime in.

Maybe it doesn't matter to much from where I branch since I intend to do the first approximation with my own Makefiles. What I currently have in ALLPROSE seems to be in conflict with autoconf (I generate Makefiles and things that are included in Makefiles on the fly).

I would be happy to discuss later how this could be integrated with build-improvements. But, in fact, it is rather independent of that. Still though I am currently reading about autoconf and also want to add autoconf facilities to ALLPROSE, maybe it is easier for me to learn something about autoconf if I branch from build-improvements.

It seems that I am going to have some sleepless nights coming. ;-)
