In any case, I guess that for the workshop itself, aldor standalone will be sufficient. But that's hardly a remedy. Maybe you could install wh-sandbox using SBCL? (Warning: I have no idea whether that's easier) You won't have graphics nor HyperDoc, but, on the other hand, Aldor support should then be possible.
