At the moment I'm following the exact name convention. It takes a while to create these files and I'm just grinding thru the work. Even in the unix case the code ends up using monocase so Set and SET collide. This isn't a problem since the file contents are identical. The collision with the set command is unfortunate, however. I'm pondering a solution. It's on the "queued" list of changes for help. Unfortunately once I start hacking the code the end result won't work for old systems.
