An important part of MuPad Combinat is already "in design". I.e., we have various very promising approaches to the theory of species - or, in MuPad Combinat - Flajolet speech: "Combinatorial Classes". > I am not sure how much time I hve next two month, but I am continually > testing what AXIOM can do for me and what I can do for AXIOM. Would you be > interested in a symmetric function category in AXIOM? DEFINITELY. In fact, I'm just working my way through Lascoux CBMS book - so far, I have done the first two exercises :-) Thinking about it, maybe the next workshop could be on symmetric functions. I guess, we could attract quite a few interesting researchers that way. If we want to go fast, maybe even February would be possible.
