Dinesh Premalal commented on AXIS2C-250:
----------------------------------------

After moving those projects as sub-projects they won't exist under Axis2/c
directory anymore. Then we are not suppose to build all those packages with in
Axis2c. After moving as sub-projects, we expect to have those libraries
available in LD_LIBRARY_PATH or some where accessible to Axis2/c build
system. With these reasons , It doesn't make sense to me having sub_dir in build
system.

> Use AC_CONFIG_SUBDIRS to improve build experience

> The current build experience is suboptimal. The standard way to build a
> package in the open source world is
> tar xfz <tar ball>
> cd <dir>
> ./configure
> make
> sudo make install
> This should work for Axis2/C.
> autoconf provides AC_CONFIG_SUBDIRS, which would allow a configure in the
> axis2/c directory to automatically run configure in subdirectories. See the
> "Subdirectories" node of the autoconf docs.
