The libraries are not stripped in the linux binaries. Here is the result I got for a file command
libaxis2_http_common.so.0.2.0: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), not stripped And after I stripped them, I found the size of libraries reduced to 1.2M from 1.4M.
