Thanks, I downloaded the source, opened a VS2008 cmd window and following 
directions (environment variables, configure.in) -  I did an nmake install and 
it just worked!
I did get a couple of cast warnings, though I'm ignoring those for now.

Still most of the people are using VS2005. So we don't have immediate plans for 
migrating to VS2008. But you can use the existing solution and convert it to 
VC2008. The conversion should be trivial.
