http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=17746 xmlns="" appened to subsequent element when no namepsace prefix ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-10 05:00 ------- My understanding is that an element should inherate the namespace of it's parent unless you specifically assign another namespace? I don't really understand why when I use a prefix "m" the xmlns="" does not appear but when I remove the prefix (but leave the namespace) it does. I agree I could assemble my XML by assigning the namespace to each item (in fact that is what I've done as a workaround) however if you then use a prefix it (the prefix) appears on each element. If you like, feel free to close the bug, however as I mentioned this does not happen on the JWSDP (for what thats worth :)
