it seems to have gone a little quiet but i have been working on fleshing out some of the ideas for the mapping view discussed earlier. i've pulling some ideas together here http://people.apache.org/~rdonkin/tool (mapping1.html is new). they are a bit rough but hopefully understandable. comments welcomed.
i'm keen to start coding on this soon and will probably look at creating some code this week. i plan to code up some swing prototypes first and then look into an eclipse version once i've learnt enough SWT... - robert
