+1 for this format as a compact logo, but I still like the meshed gears of dim's Axis2.PNG for a larger logo.

Yep, the dot in "A" should coincide with the wheel center. Glen, The
feather need not represent the dot on "I", its just like the
decoration in the cap. Here is the logo after moving the A and
compacting it vertically.

I like the general design a lot, and would make two changes:

1) I think that Venkat actually meant making the dot in the middle of the A
the "axis" of the gear. I agree, and would do that by moving the gear up
and to the right. This would also make the logo a little smaller. It might
be even cooler to add another (linked) gear centered on the dot between the
I and the S....

2) I don't actually like the feather as the dot on the "i", I think it's
visually unbalanced. What about making the feather the actual "I" itself?
i.e. rotate the feather 90 degrees counterclockwise and replace the "I" with
it.

Nice work Dims :-)
May be one middle wheel is enough, so that the logo is not too high.
Also the "A" in Axis can be moved left so the it hinges on the wheel
center.

How about this?

If not anything, the feather should move a little to the left so that
its stalk appears to cut across replacing the 'dot' above "I" in AXIS.
Alignment of feather in 1.x logo describes what I exactly have in
mind. And unless we want the product to be also called Axis Squared (I
feel, not appropriate) we should bring down the elevation of '2' in
the logo, as suggested by Ruchith.

Just a thought, though!

Hmm.. forgive me for saying this but to me the earlier font seems
less professional :) (I always thought it could be improved but hey,
I'm no graphics guy).To me the font in this seems much better (at
least a bit more professional) and Ruchith's suggession also seems
to be reasonable.

Hi all,
Nadana, who's been doing some work in the web admin module has
done some great work with the logo and I think it's kind of cool.

What do you all think ?
