Mike Rheinheimer resolved AXIS2-3772.
-------------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

Resolved in 655988. I used the equivalent Java regular expression and the reg
ex library to perform the match instead of our own matching algorithm; reduced
150 lines of code down to about 20.

> improve service-name-pattern and port-name-pattern checking for file
> referenced by @HandlerChain

> @HandlerChain annotation refers to a file defined by the schema:
> In this schema, there is a regular expression defined for pattern matching
> the service-name-pattern and port-name-pattern. The reg ex is:
> \*|([\i-[:]][\c-[:]]*:)?[\i-[:]][\c-[:]]*\*?
> We should be using this pattern to validate the pattern defined in
> service-name-pattern and port-name-pattern in:
> org.apache.axis2.jaxws.spi.handler.BaseHandlerResolver.doesPatternMatch
> Then use a StringTokenizer split on ':' then '*' to perform the matching
> algorithm.
