Hi, I don't think archiving will happen "automatically", unless you copy that to archive.apache.org folder.
IIRC (its been a long time since my last release), when you do a release, we first copy all the release artifacts in to /www/ www.apache.org/dist/ws/axis2/<version> folder. Then *move* the previsous releases inside /www/www.apache.org/dist/ws/axis2/ folder in /www/ archive.apache.org/dist/ws/axis2/<version> folder (that is how u archive). Seems the folder (/www/www.apache.org/dist/ws/axis2/<Prev-Versions> was copied but not deleted. If you leave something inside /www/www.apache.org/dist/ws/axis2/, it will be automatically mirrored. It is general practice within Apache to only to mirror the latest release. I think what is left to be done is to 1. delete /www/www.apache.org/dist/ws/axis2/<Prev-Versions> folders 2. Fix the links inside axis2 release page so that previous releases are linked to archive.apache.org Thanks, Chinthaka On Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 8:39 PM, Davanum Srinivas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > All old releases are in the Apache archives - > http://archive.apache.org/dist/ws/axis2/ > > - -- dims > > Deepal Jayasinghe wrote: > >> Hi Release Managers, > >> > >> Why haven't you archived previous releases before Axis2 1.1.1 release. > > Hmm ,as I remember correct archiving is automatically happen and you do > > not need to do anything.
