Adding Client Handlers

I'm using WSDL2Java to generate client stubs for an Axis web service, and
I'd like to add a custom Handler on the client side to handle fault
responses. How can I register  a handler on the client side to be used in
WSDL2Java-generated stub code?
I can't seem to find any documentation on the client-config.wsdd file, would
this solve the problem, and from where would the file get loaded?
