The answer is simple, none of them are standalone clients. You must use the Locator class to acquire a stub which you can then use just like a local object - a little more digging is required on your part because this is all covered in the users's guide; very straightforward. Which one is the Client? I tried all of them to send a String parameter without a chance.   The documentation isn’t detailed.
