It works, for those who are interested, here's an example:
call.setOperationName(new QName("urn:axisserver", "getItems"));
Object[] objs = (Object[]) call.invoke(new Object[] {} );
System.out.println("Length: " + objs.length);
System.out.println("Name: " + ((Item) objs[0]).getName());
You cannot declare the array of the 'correct' type. (which makes sense)
