Hi, I installed Axis Beta2 on Weblogic 5.1 successfully, but have some problems when running the samples(calculator, attachments), as follow:
log4j: ERROR Could not instantiate class [log4j.properties]. java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: log4j.properties log4j: ERROR No appenders could be found for category (org.apache.axis.transport.http.AxisServlet) log4j: ERROR Please initialize the log4j system properly. ------ I've done the following with negative results: a) extracted the log4j.properties file from axis.jar and put in the WEB-INF/classes. b) jar the log4j.properties file and put in WEB-INF/lib. Put in WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH variable in startWeblogic.cmd file. c) Run the deploy on Window2000's command line and explicitly declare the log4j.properties file in the classpath. d) Play around with the parameters in log4j.properties. I spent 2 days on this already, very desparate, please help. Please note: samples in Tomcat4.01 are running very well.
