Well, here is a sample of what I had in mind! I think is more flexible and more interactive than the current mailinig list! I do not say that everyone should stop using this emailing list , please don't get me wrong , either I want to pretend the webmaster or moderator to anything! I am an AXIS user who thinks that since the AXIS user group is growing and generally AXIS development and deployment (generall web services) is not the most straight forward to do, more and more user need the help of more experience users. My experience with the mailing list is that sometimes (especialy for the new users) it might be difficult someone to get an answer , either because his email was ignored , sent very very late at night etc etc. Please have a look and tell what you think! Because I don't have my own web space , I used a free web space from Lycos and I am using a very popular PHP based forum (Phpbb ) that is wholly intergrated with an MySQL db. Everything topics questions posts etc are stored in the Database and there is a search facility for past topics posts etc. You may register or you may not! Anyway in case you register , there is no any think like giving any personal details. Even a dummy username and a dummy email should work , and should provide you a username! I have made a sample structure of the forum , as many may notice yes the topics are the same topics in the AXIS user GUIDE , just to give you a look and feel. Under each topic you may post related questions. I have to tell it again ..this is my proposal , I would be very happy if some of you like the idea..and in the end if some of you try to use it! When it comes to a better hosting (reliable , even though this one is good for now) I believe some of you can donate some MB in a PHP enable web server for a such a thing! Or I might buy some web space.
