Dear Axis-Users, thanks so much for your post. I will follow your suggestions 1) check to make sure jaxrpc.jar is in the classpath and esp 2) check the list for what is in the jaxrpc.jar by using the command 'jar tf jaxrpc.jar' 3) modify the StockQuoteClient.java to import the package javax.xml.namespace.QNames. I will post the results asap.
