Hmm. Just checked with CalendarDeserializer. It seems you are right. From
what I understood there is that if the given datetime is ZULU time, the
resulting Calendar/Date will be GMT. Otherwise it will be the server
timezone and not UTC plus/minus the given hours, as required.

You may better open a bug report.
