Hi Lu,
I recently investigated a very similar problem. If you need to run a web
services over a ssl server. You will need to make Java trust your server.
import your server certificate to your java keystore file I think it
is located at $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts
make the certificate as a trusted certificate
You can then invoke your web service over a ssl channel using Java
