I'm pleased to announce that Judy 1.0.0 is ready for release to the community. Significant effort has been put into making Judy as easy to use as possible, however, the focus has been on feature completeness.
Judy is a bridge between web service technology and Jini technology. The initial Judy release contains the following features: - generates a Jini proxy for the associated web service - publishes the web service proxy to Reggie - sample client to publish the WSDL to Judy - sample client to call a temperature web service - Ant scripts for starting a Jini 1.2.1 environment (if needed), Judy, and sample Jini clients Missing features: - developer documentation - user documentation Judy was developed with the following environmental constraints and dependencies: - Jini 1.2.1 - Apache Axis 1.1 (and associated libraries) - Log4J 1.2.4 - AspectJ 1.1.1 - Ant 1.5.3 Future releases will include: - Jini 2.0 support - UDDI lookup =================== Judy is a community-supported open-source project and benefits from interaction with it's various members.
