I had this exact problem previously, what's more on Linux, and to be honest I 
have no idea how I made it go away :-( I know that I started with turning the 
cache off, removing all cache files, and restarting the server and somewhere 
in there it worked.

One thing you might want to look into is the cache file that is produced. 
Does it contain everything or is it partially cut off? Also, maybe 
something's wrong with the \r\f vs \n or whatever (I never remember which is 
which) so that bytes aren't counted correctly.
