XInclude broken

Hello all

wonder if anyone else has seen this.....

Just been reinstalling AxKit and I seem to have bust XInclude I now get:

axkit:///search_pubs_inline.xsp?search=project:FDXD:1: parser error : Document is empty ^ 
axkit:///search_pubs_inline.xsp?search=project:FDXD:1: parser error : Start tag expected, 
'<' not found ^ could not load axkit:/search_pubs_inline.xsp?search=project:FDXD, and 
no fallback was found

I downloaded a new libxml2 (2.6.9) and XML::LibXML from cvs and this fails
make test no 23 17callbacks with the same error:
23/example/test.xml:1 parse error : Document is empty

^
example/test.xml:1 parse error : Start tab expected, '<' not found
^

Any ideas?
