Hi,
I've written a custom file provider which uses Text::VimColor to transform code portion in the XML file into XML markup. Everything is working perfectly but while developing I came learned that the get_strref and get_fh methods are called on every request. Although the XML and XSL-Files have not changed and everything is delivered from cache. I'm afraid that on a heavy loaded site I'm running into performance problem. Could someone explain to my why this is done, isn't it enough to simply look onto the timestamps of the files used?
Tom
