Hi all! I proudly announce that TABOO 0.084 has been released. And for the first time, TABOO really does something... :-)
Since a demo is worth a thousand words, I have created a demo site you can play with, please feel free: http://demo.kjernsmo.net/ You can log in as foo or bar, both with password trustno1 and the latter is an editor. For more about it, read on below. But first, let me quote PAUSE acknowledging that the uploaded file AxKit-App-TABOO-0.084.tar.gz has entered CPAN as file: $CPAN/authors/id/K/KJ/KJETILK/AxKit-App-TABOO-0.084.tar.gz size: 57088 bytes md5: e7091627f9418377a48c001b24e3b371 It should be at your local mirror by now. You are encouraged to check the SIGNATURE which follows the distribution. Again, you are encouraged to play with the demo site and tell me about it... It now allows people to get registered, get a username and password, submit stories, editor to have them approved and so on. There is a menu system, headers and there are context-sensitive links depending on what the user is authorised to do. Recently, I have also added some Cascading Stylesheets, just the minimal that is needed to put the blocks of the page here and there. If you log in and out different users, you may have to delete some cookies now and then, Firefox Webdeveloper extension is pretty cool... But I'm not aware of any big problems. It is not a lot, and I still have to work on the comments-stuff, and I also need to filter the input to allow for at least some formatting markup, but I think it is pretty cool myself... :-) The changelog for the latest two releases include the following: 0.084 2004-09-22 05:30 - The login-stuff has seen a facelift. - The config example is now redone and has actually been verified to work well... - bugfixing by adding explicit param session.id's where they previously been forgotten. - It now depends on BasicSession 0.21, the previous release had a bug. - Cleaned up the pointy brackets in the taglib documentation. - Quite some more testing. 0.083 2004-09-17 01:30 - Fixing a few bugs, some small ones, and a big one: The menu.xsp didn't the user's session, because it was called from the server. This also needed a new feature in BasicSession, which is also being updated. - Added some CSS, and a few changes in the output HTML. Right now, text/html is being outputted, I had some problems applying the CSS to xml. - Moved main.rdf down to a site-dir. The idea is that everything that must be edited is going there. - added explicit xsl:param "declarations" whenever appropriate. A great hacker said it should be there.
