setahu aku, underpad itu alas tidur, seperti perlak kalo untuk bayi (CMIIW), kalo untuk ibu melahirkan, kebanyakan underpadnya disposal, jadi sekali pake terus dibuang. bahan bagian bawahnya plastik tipis, dan diatasnya, bahan seperti kain/kapas yang lembut, lebih lembut dari pembalut, dan dia tipis, lebarnya kira-kira 90cm. kalo kita banyak gerak, si kain/kapas itu bisa kusut bahkan robek, tapi itu gak panas dan gak tembus ke kasur.
Gunanya biar darah nipas gak sampe ngotorin sprei dan kasur.
waktu saya melahirkan Nailah di Siloam Gleneagles Lippo Cikarang, underpad itu disediakan oleh phak RS.

Mungkin maksud mbak Anne, underpad itu adalah maternity pad, alias 'pembalut' khusus wanita setelah melahirkan. Bentuknya idem dengan 'pembalut' hanya saja lebih tebal dan panjang, cocok untuk ibu setelah melahirkan normal yang mengeluarkan banyak darah......begitu....Memang berguna banget, dua kali saya melahirkan, those maternity pad membantu sekali. Banyak dijual di apotik atau supermarket, harganya berkisar 8000-10000 per bungkus, isi 10 buah. Kalo mau yang mahalan, di mothercare juga ada, kalo nggak salah harganya 40ribuan gitu.....
