Kalo untuk yg beragama islam, yg aku tau wajib dibotakin, untuk ngebersihin kotoran2 yg tertinggal di area itu, dan membantu perkembangan syaraf2. Ada hadisnya kok.
Buat yg beragama lain kayanya karena kebersihan ya.... Kadang bayi lahir rambut lebat jd ga ketauan kulit kepalanya bersih atau ngga, kalo dibotakin kan ketauan tuh kalo ada sisa2 kotoran bekas lahiran.
