I am seeking information about:

Charles SILVEY, wife Rosalia (Rosie?) MARSHALL and children Anthony
and Anita (“Nita”), all of San Francisco and surrounds at turn of the
century. Charles and Rosalia were probably dead by 1926.

Rosalia & Charlies Had two children I know of:
• Anthony SILVEY (born no later than 1876; died abt 1896 San
Francisco, CA) Anthony was my great-grandfather, was a pharmacist in
SF. He m. Mary Adelaid DECASTRO/ROSE abt 1890. One daughter Elexia
“Lex” Antoinette SILVEY.
• Anita Loretta SILVEY (1876 CA-1944 CA) lived in San Jose and died in
Los Angeles. She m. 1st Edwin B WILSON, 2d Walter B. CLARKE (and had
two children Anita S and Arthur “Arty” Charles WILSON)
If “Charles and Rosie SILVEY” in San Leandro, CA 1900 Census are mine,
the following is also true:
• Charles and Rosie were living in San Leandro, Alameda, CA in 1900,
• immigrated in 1856 and 1860 respectively.
• Charles was b. 1832 and Rosie was b. 1834
• Azores AJ and Azores Ot are listed on census for their places of
birth. Do you know these abbreviations (are they island references)?
• Married in 1861, probably in CA.
• had 7 children, of whom 3 were living in 1900
• were living with a granddaughter, Tessie Schwengel

Does any of this sound familiar to you?

In the Azores, Silvey may have been da Silva or Silviera.
Another researcher follows his Marshall tree to “Machado” in Azores.

Thank you,

Kim
