Nancy, The church will send you a fill in the blank certificate that they would hand to a bride and groom today. It will say that the bride married the groom by the priest on this date and the witnesses were. If you want to know if the village was recorded in the marriage book, you could ask if that information was noted in the marriage book and if so, you need to ask for a xerox copy from the book and if that is not possible, a typed transcription that also includes any margin notes. Tell them that you are sending a donation to the church and then do it (it helps the rest of us genealogists).
