Trevor, I'm so glad you posted your opinion on this. Weather is important
to my husband and I when we travel and degree of humidity seems to be
greatly in the "eye of the beholder".  To me, personally, Atlanta, Georgia;
Chicago, Illinois, Phoenix, Arizona; Sydney, Australia; those places are
intolerably humid. On the other hand, Maui, Hawaii and I can't think of
another place at the moment, while humid is quite tolerable and not
something to be concerned about when traveling. I would appreciate others
comparisons as to what the humidity and temperature is like in the Azores
during the summer. Also, is it markedly different on the different islands?
Thanks to all, Sam in CA

I feel I have to note on the humidity. We went the first week of August
this year, and while it was more overcast than I thought it would be, the
humidity does not compare to the Eastern US, at least it's not as humid as
DC, in the summer, so I was pleasantly surprised. It was also cooler than
DC. I just wanted to note that, for some, summer might be the perfect
time; don't be afraid to go, then.
