Hello David, Recenty I found a record of their son's marriage SJ film # 1330816 #37 08 Sep 1873, Jose de Medeiros (24 years old) x Maria da Gloria. Son of Francisco de Medeiros of Matriz, Sao Sebastiao x Maria Isabel of Sao Jose.
Given the son's age it would bring the marriage date to 1845-48 in Sao Jose, P.Delgada. With estimated birth date for Francisco around 1820-1825. If you come across any close match (s) it would be very helpfull.
