I am trying to find any information about members of the Simmiss/Vicara family - Joseph Vicara, wife Theresa Simmiss, who had a child Joseph Simmiss(Vicara), born about 1848, Western Islands, Azores, Portugal - he married Susan Eliza Davy August 22 1887 in Motueka, Nelson, NZ. He appeared to retain the Simmiss name for some reason.
