Hi Robin,

I have a Jose Rosa Maciel and Isabel Mariana from Candelaria whose daughter
born in 1847 married into my line....long shot but right timeline for your
Daniel...did he have siblings? I can check the NEPHS site for children of this
couple and look for Daniel. I'll let you know! The way our ancestors dropped or
added names makes them quite illusive at times.

Kind regards,

Nancy Jean

Repost for Robin :

Nancy Jean,

Here's what I have, but not verified:

Daniel Francisco DeRosa
B abt 1845 Pico

Parents: Jose De Rosa
Izabel Mariana

That's all the information I have.

He may have traveled back to the Azores during 1879 to 1881. Dan's first wife
(Luisa Jacinta Canhoto) passed away and then married her Niece (Filomena
Jacinto Canhoto) in 1881. His first wife and her Niece were from Santa Cruz,
Flores.

Thank you for your time. Nancy Jean, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. LOL
