Anyhow, they may have been working in that area, delivering hay, or whatever and stopped at an office to be naturalized. Ever since then I keep an open mind on all research to never limit myself to the immediate area of where my family lived. BTW, another example, even though we lived in Placer County when our son was in High School, his school "district" was in another county. His high school was closer to our home (besides being in the district), then the high school in the town in which we live.
