On a geanealogy chart, my great great grandfather from Faial, Azores has
"Nobres de Graca" after his name.
I have understood it to mean " Nobleman of favour".
Can anyone explain the useage of this phrase and how it was bestowed upon a
person?
Thanks,
Joy
