Gayle, I'm always happy to see Pico mentioned as well. My grandmother was from (Silvieira) Lajes do Pico. Her mother was a Catarina Jesus Brum and her father was Joao Pereira Dutra.
Eric and others helped a great deal to find out exactly where they were from in Pico. There is always a good chance for help.
