Good afternoon. I have been trying for sometime to find my grandfather, Jose Teixeira Luiz, on a passenger list. According to family tradition, he and his brother Manuel left Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge to come to the US together. This would have occurred sometime between 1898 - 1903. Where would be the logical port of departure for residents of Sao Jorge? Sao Miguel?
