Hi E

I would try looking in the city directory's for that time period. When I was
trying to find when my great grandfather died I found the answer in the city
directory he was listed in the city directory as having died the previous
year giving the day month and year. Also his wife was listed as widow.

Subject: [AZORES-Genealogy] MA death after 1917

Any ideas of how to find a death in MA, probably in Bristol County, New
Bedford or Fall River, between 1917 and 1920 and probably a suicide. And in
this instance, I believe he would not have been allowed to be buried in a
Catholic cemetery....at least that is what we were told when we were younger
- don't know if that practice is still the same today. Maybe I should try
non-catholic cemeteries and see if he is buried there? Or is there a MA
death index somewhere which encompasses the 1920's?
