With summer season quickly approaching (for the northern hemisphere reading audience), some readers may not have access to email and may not want to come home to hundreds of messages (although the months of June, July, and August can be a bit slower, they are not always slower).
At the end of each email is a footer that says the following (depending on your email provider, you may have to expand the rest of the email message to read it): <<To unsubscribe from this group, send email to azores+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. Follow the confirmation directions when they arrive. For more options, such as changing to List, Digest, Abridged, or No Mail (vacation) mode, log into your Google account and visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/Azores. Click in the blue area on the right that says "Join this group" and it will take you to "Edit my membership.">> If you don't have access to email in your travels, you will want the No Mail mode when you go on vacation. It is much easier than unsubscribing and resubscribing (the old Rootsweb way). If you don't have a Google account though, I don't think the above directions for No Mail Mode works. I think you have to email me, Rosemarie, or Mel and have one of us change your settings. When you return, you have to email one of us again and we will restart you.
