Southern California Genealogy Society is holding their annual Jamboree this Friday through Sunday, June 8 - 10th at the Burbank Marriott, in Burbank (Los Angeles County), California. This event attracts as many attendees as the national shows (NGS = National Genealogical Society; FGS = Federation of Genealogical Societies) with more that 1700+ people attending. There are over 100 classes, over 60 speakers, and over 70 exhibitors. I'm not speaking this year, but I am hosting the Portuguese table on Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. then I'm hosting the DNA table from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. That is a free event and registration is not required. Also free this year is the exhibit hall with the 70+ vendors. The software vendors are there (Legacy, RootsMagic), the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel (where we hosted our conference), Family Tree DNA, various genealogical societies, Anecestry, and more! http://goo.gl/P32E9
