Ria, You need to know the freguesia/village your people came from. There are 70 freguesias on Sao Miguel. You also need at minimum the year your ancestor was born. The records are either at the archives (over 100 years old) or at the Civil Registry (under 100 years old) and there are 6 Civil Registries on Sao Miguel.
