Left hand side, middle record, right under the numerical date 1844.

Attached is what I believe is the death record for Manuel Machado Teixeira who, before his death, was married to Isabel Silveira. I think it says he died on 4 Jan 1844. I can read Manuel's name but; not what comes after it and before Isabel's name.

In my records, I have Isabel as Isabel Silveira d'Azevedo. Is it typical not to state the entire name of the wife in the husband's death record?

I can read "natural of the parish of Sao Tiago, place of Ribeira Seca, something? of the village (Villa) of Calheta, island of Sao Jorge. I really can't make anything else out other than the date of death (4 Jan 1844).

Is there anything else of import in the document? I haven't been able to find Manuel's birth record so, I was hoping his death record might give me his parents names.

As always, thanks for any help with this. Sam in CA
