Well you might look in Rosario, or Santa Cruz for your Manuel. I have a Belchoir do Rego Baldaia who was born in Fenais da Luz and married in Rosario, Lagoa on 27 Feb 1622 to Maria Franca and had 10 kids. The above is decendants of Belchoir. The Belchoir I just mentioned is the grandson of Belchoir do Rego Baldaia and Isabel Rodrigues Raposa, she was from Santa Cruz.
