Another way this chart can be used, when you get your Family Finder Results
in, is for example you have a Relationship Range of "5th to Remote Cousin".
You simply look at the center of the chart for 5th cousin and you see on the
outside column "4th Great Grand Parent". This is where you should start
looking for a common ancestor. If you do not find the common Ancestor here
then go the "5th Great Grand Parent. The common ancestor should be in the
that generation range.

Subject: [AZORES-Genealogy] Relationship Chart

Hi All,

I have adapted a relationship chart published by Emily Anne Croom's
"Unpuzzling Your Past". You may find it useful it determining the
relationship of a common ancestor.

There is an explanation of how to use the chart in the file. Once you and
another person have found a common ancestor then by entering the
relationship to each of the two people you can easily find the relationship
without plotting and combining two trees.

Some of you who have taken the FTDNA family finder will find it useful in
confirming relationships.
