Yeah I only know Spanish, and to me its is very similar (writing not speaking) I had gone thru Spanish/Latin Church records for years before attempting to look at the Portuguese records. Stupid on my part, I could of been done with this all years ago!! (I started back in 1996) But I had it in my mind that it was going to be extremely hard to read the Portuguese records. Which it is not, the more you read the easier it becomes.
