Hello Friends

I have been auditing this site a number of years now.  It teased me into
purchasing  the Family finder test.    I found my results more complex than I
anticipated and have had time to analysis and learn. I have seen many
recommendations to submit  a Gedcom that it is most beneficial to provide a
means to make the desired connections.

Yet, I don't recall seeing how or what or where to do the necessary.

What portion of my data base should be included?  Just my DIRECT Azorean line
as it may be(?),  or my entire DIRECT  line,  or my Direct ancillary lines, or
MY total  line as it is on my data base and or my issues line?

My total FTM data base contains nearly 20,000 individual records  Only my
maternal line originate from the Azores.  The base includes "hearsay" data as
well as documented data.

What data from each record is desirable,  Obviously, day, date, and location of
birth, marriage, and death.  What else is needed or beneficial?   Are such
thing as "Notes, occupation, education,  etc. usable or collected by the group?

Where should such data be sent?.

Has this type of info been posted somewhere on the web?

Any help and/or suggestions would be most appreciated.

I do have a subscription to Ancestry although I don't like it and haven't
learned how to use it yet !  :<(

Hi All,

I was doing some looking at Family Tree DNA and found that the matches for my
sisters Family Finder Test I looked most at were the ones that had a GEDCOM
posted. Even though some were lacking data I still spent some time trying to
find the common ancestor and looking for other hints if they also tested Y-DNA
or MtDNA.

The fun part of having taken the Family Finder is the enjoyment I get verifying
a match and knowing a new cousin.

If you have not posted your GEDCOM It is as easy as posting your profile
picture on Facebook.
