Raymona, Considering the difficulty you're encountering in finding information on your ancestor, perhaps, you should contact the Portuguese Genealogical & Historical Society of Hawaii. Their lookups are free, and they have the largest free database of Portuguese immigrants, and their descendants, available. Membership is $10.00. If they have your ancestor listed, they'll send any and all passenger, passport, and other genealogical data they have, to you, free of any charge. I've used their service several times and the information they have is phenomenal (well worth the $10.00).
